February 17th 2011 - Diet plan revealed

I've been asked by many people about my diet. They want to know how it works. So I am putting it up on here, word for word, for anyone who is interested!

Sacred Heart Diet

This diet comes from the Sacred Heart Memorial Hospital and is issued for the overweight heart patients to lose rapidly, usually prior to surgery.

1 or 2 cans Tomatoes
1 lg. green onion/scallion (author's note: Not sure if this is one individual green onion or one bunch. Experiment!)
1 lg. can beef broth
1 pkg vegetable soup mix
2 cans green beans
2 green peppers
2 lb carrots
1 bunch celery
You can add cabbage if you want

Season with salt, pepper, curry, parsley, and if desired, hot sauce. Cut veggies in small to medium pieces, cover with water and boil for 10 minutes. Reduce to a simmer and continue cooking until veggies are tender. This soup can be eaten anytime you are hungry - as much as you want, whenever you want. The soup will not add calories. The more you eat, the more you lose.

Day 1: Any fruit, except bananas. Cantaloupe and watermelon are lower in calories.

Day 2: All vegetables. Eat until you are stuffed with fresh raw or canned vegetables; try to eat green leafy vegetables and stay away from dry beans, peas and corn. Eat veggies along with the soup. At dinner reward yourself with a big baked potato with butter. DO NOT EAT ANY FRUITS.

Day 3: Eat all the fruits, veggies and soup you want (NO BANANAS). NO POTATO. By now you should have lost 5-7 lbs by following this plan exactly.

Day 4: Bananas and skim milk. Eat at least 3 bananas and drink as much milk as you can today, along with the soup. Your body will need the potassium, carbs and calcium to lose your craving for sweets.

Day 5: Beef and tomatoes; you may have 10-20 oz. of beef and a can of tomatoes or as many as 5 tomatoes. Eat the soup at least once today.

Day 6: Beef and veggies; eat these to your heart's content. You can have 2-3 steaks with green leafy vegetables. NO POTATO. Eat soup at least one time.

Day 7: Brown rice, unsweetened fruit juice and vegetables; stuff and eat soup.

Drink 5-8 glasses of water a day, as well as a combination of black coffee, unsweetened tea, unsweetened fruit juices, cranberry juice, and/or skim milk.

You can have the soup any time you are hungry. The more soup you eat, the more you will lose. You can eat boiled or baked (skinless) chicken instead of beef.

NO BREAD. NO ALCOHOL. NO CARBONATED (OR DIET COLA) DRINKS. NO FRIED FOODS.

After 3 days you will have more energy than when you began. And you can have black coffee with this diet; you may find that you do not need caffeine after the 3rd day.

This diet flushes your system of impurities. It burns more than you take in.

By the end of the 7th day, if you have not cheated, you should have lost 10-17 lbs.

If you have lost more than 15 lbs, stay off the diet for at least 2 days before resuming the diet. Always start at Day 1. Go off the diet at least 24 hours before any intake of alcohol. You can continue this diet as long as you want and have an abundance of energy.
